Information We Collect

To make your experience as sweet as possible, we gather a few seeds of data:

• Gameplay & Learning Data: High scores, lesson progress, streaks, review history, and in-app preferences so you can pick up right where you left off. This data is stored locally on your device — we do not upload it to our servers.
• Device Information: Basic analytics like your operating system and device type to help us squash bugs and optimize performance.
• Advertising Identifiers: Our apps may show ads served by third-party ad networks. These networks may use your device's advertising identifier to serve relevant ads, in accordance with your device's tracking preferences and the consent choices you make in the app.
• Voice & Text You Send to AI Features: In apps with AI conversation, tutor chat, or dictionary features, the text you type — and speech converted to text on your device — is sent to our AI provider so it can generate a reply. See “AI-Powered Features” below.

We do not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or contact list unless you email us for support.

How We Use Your Data

We treat your data like our most prized harvest. We use it to:

• Power your game saves and learning progress, and keep them safe.
• Generate AI replies, pronunciation feedback, and dictionary results you explicitly ask for.
• Improve our apps by analyzing anonymous, aggregated usage trends.
• Respond to your support requests when things go a little pear-shaped.

AI-Powered Features

Some of our apps (such as HanSpeak) include AI conversation practice, an AI teacher chat, and an AI dictionary. Here is exactly what happens when you use them:

• The message you type, or the text produced by speech recognition, is sent over an encrypted connection to our AI provider — Alibaba Cloud (Qwen / DashScope) — which generates the reply.
• These requests are not tied to your identity. We send no name, email, or account id, because our apps do not have accounts.
• Conversations are stored on your device only, so you can revisit them. Deleting a chat, or deleting the app, removes them permanently.
• AI replies are generated automatically and may occasionally be inaccurate. They are provided for learning and entertainment, not as professional advice.

Microphone & Speech Recognition

Apps with speaking practice ask for microphone permission. Audio is used only while you are actively holding or tapping the record control, and it is converted to text by your device's own speech-recognition service (Apple or Google, depending on your platform). We never record, upload, or store raw audio. You can revoke microphone access at any time in your device settings; the rest of the app keeps working without it.

In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

Our apps may offer optional in-app purchases and auto-renewable subscriptions, such as removing ads or unlocking unlimited practice. All payments are processed securely by the App Store — we never see or store your payment details. Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled anytime through your device's account settings.

Third-Party Services

We use a handful of trusted partners to help run the grove. We only share what is absolutely necessary for them to provide their services, and we never sell your personal information.

• Google AdMob — serves advertisements. Where required, we ask for your consent (and, on iOS, App Tracking Transparency permission) before personalized ads are shown; if you decline, you will see non-personalized ads instead.
• Google Firebase — anonymous analytics and remote configuration.
• Alibaba Cloud (Qwen / DashScope) — generates AI replies, as described above.
• Apple App Store — processes purchases and subscriptions.

Children's Privacy

Our apps are designed for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Deleting Your Data

Because our apps store your progress and conversations on your device, deleting the app removes everything — progress, chats, dictionary history, and preferences. Individual chats and saved words can also be deleted from inside the app at any time.

Your Rights

You have total control over your digital footprint in the grove. You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct any inaccurate information.
• Request that we delete your data completely.
